STORY: I wanted to create a digital painting that illustrates the bay area. I chose the bear to represent the California grizzly symbolizing strength and resilience. For me, it embodies the toughness required to live here, which has been a struggle at times. His hat signifies that even though we face tough challenges, we must maintain a strong mindset and keep working hard. Plus we have to have style. That's why I titled the piece, "California Living."

I used sunset and warm colors to blend the theme of sunset, even as the scene transitions to night and the moon appears instead of the sun. The bay bridge is featured in composition because it is a place full of diversity and vibrant energy that emphasizes the colorful presence.
